Re: Personal Auto: Temporary Delivery of Food and Other Goods Coverage

We understand that this is a challenging time for our members who work in the service industry. Many businesses, particularly in the hospitality/restaurant industry, have either voluntarily or been ordered to discontinue normal operations and convert to a takeout/delivery service model. While the use of a personal auto for food delivery hasn’t typically been within our appetite, we are sympathetic to the unusual circumstances and intend to stand by our loyal members.

Effective immediately we are pleased to offer optional coverage for the temporary delivery of food and other goods to our Personal Auto members in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and Arizona (and are researching ways to offer it in Montana). Please contact your Tri-Cities Insurance Professional agent (509 380-5980 / 1 866 334-3073) to temporarily activate this coverage. Business Use rates will apply.

**Please note that this is not intended for independent contractors who deliver goods or services for Uber Eats, Grubhub, Amazon, or any other delivery service. Nor is the coverage intended for commercial delivery vehicles. This coverage is for an employee who has been asked by their employer to temporarily use their personal auto to deliver food and other goods.
